Q :What is Search Folder & Filter word?

A :Headline-Plug-in has features: "Search Folder", "Filter word", and "Article List Search".

What's Search Folder?

This Search Folder pick out article which has selected keywords in the feed list when refreshing feed list.
Pay attention that article is picked out when feed list is "refreshing".

What's Filter word?

You can set down "Filter word" from "Property" at right click menu of feed list or when you add new feed item.

What's Article List Search?

Search Keyword from Article list.

Other

You can set area of application at "Sleipnir Option" --> "Panel" --> "Headline Refresh" --> "Range of Search / filter"
You can do "OR" search by using a space. Wildcard is "*", Denial is"!", if they include space, surround them with ".

Ex: (Kyoto !Tokyo "!Tokyo Japan")

Q :I want to close the article list automatically when I open the page.

A :Headline-Reader Plug-in can set as you want to.

1. Run Sleipnir
2. Choose "Tools" --> "Sleipnir Option" at menu
3. See "Dock" --> "Headline article list"
4. Turn on "Close article list when open web page" button in the "Headline article list"

If you use this setting, article list will be changed its display/nondisplay not only when you open the web page, but also when you switch over tabs.

Q :I want to refresh feed list automatically when I run Sleipnir.

A :Here is how to refresh feed list automatically when Sleipnir is ran.

1. Run Sleipnir.
2. Choose "Tools" --> "Sleipnir Option" from menu
3. See "Panel" --> "Headline Refresh".
4. Turn on "Auto refresh" button in the "Headline Refresh"
5. If the last refresh went on 30 minutes before, Headline-Reader refresh automatically at startup.

From the aspect of worldwide Internet Band Protection, Headline-Reader Plug-in cannot refresh automatically within 30 minutes.

You can set individually at property of each feed, and set refresh interval from 15 minutes.

Q :The newly added feed list does not display at the article list.

A :Sometimes the newly added feed list does not display at the article list.

If you face at this problem, check "Panel" --> "Headline feed".
There is a possibility that you set "Count of saving articles by a channel", and "Date range of receiving articles" as outlying date.

We recommend that you should use default "Date range of receiving articles", because the purpose of this software is correcting the "What's New".

Q :I cannot add item into the folder at feed list.

A :Headline-Reader Plug-in can reorder feeds list by dragging and dropping, but if you drop on the folder, item will move to inside of the folder.

If you face this problem, drop item with keep pushing Shift key. The item will reorder on the same row as the folder.

Q :About default Feed list (OPML)

A :When you run Headline-Reader Plug-in at the first time, the following message is displayed.


"Do you load latest feeds list(OPML) from Sleipnir sever?"

Although you selected "No", you need the feed list, click the following URL.

2. Drag and drop the URL shown above to the feed list of Headline-Reader Plug-in.
3. "Add feed/OPML" Dialog displays.
4. Make sure URL is correct and click OK

Q : I want to open the page automatically when I select the article list.

A :Headline-Reader can open the page automatically via overall setting or in increments of the feed.

Individual setting per feed

1. Run Sleipnir and display Headline-Reader Plug-in
2. Select the feed from feed panel.
3. Select Property from right click menu
4. Turn on "Open" button at the property panel.
5. Click OK.


Overall setting

1. Run Sleipnir and display Headline-Reader Plug-in
2. Click "Setting" button in the "option" button at toolbar of feed panel.
3. Select "Headline article list" from "Dock"
4. Set " Condition to open a page " as you want to.

Q :Feed icon is turned gray, and I cannot refresh feed.

A :Headline-Reader Plug-in make feed disable at the first default feed list, and after the OPML importing.
Feed disable means Headline-Reader does not refresh feed; it is in a resting state.


1. Select "Feeds" in the Feed Panel
2. Select "Enable" from right click menu.
3. All feeds will be refreshed.


You can change "Enable" to "Disable" in increments of Folder or Feed instead of selecting "Feeds".
